The civil wedding is often seen as the “administra The civil wedding is often seen as the “administrative part” of a wedding. And yet, it’s one of my favorite moments to photograph. It’s usually more intimate. More relaxed. More real. That’s why I always recommend a minimum coverage of 2 hours for a civil ceremony. Not because the ceremony itself lasts that long, but because the story starts well before the first signature. I love documenting guests arriving, the nervous smiles, the first embraces, parents greeting each other, friends reuniting. Then comes the ceremony itself. And after that, some of my favorite moments unfold: the exit from the town hall, the applause, the hugs, the congratulations, the flowers, the laughter, the tears, all the love that naturally spills out once the official part is over. Only then do we take a little time for family photos, friends, and a few portraits of the two of you. No rushing. No forcing. Just allowing life to happen and preserving it as it unfolds. Because a wedding story isn’t only about the ceremony. It’s everything that happens around it.

It wasn’t an editorial shoot. It was a real weddin It wasn’t an editorial shoot. It was a real wedding. A deeply personal one. Every detail of this day was imagined by the bride herself, then brought to life alongside Delphine, a creative force I deeply admire. And what I loved the most was the trust. They gave me complete creative freedom to capture and elevate every texture, every light, every intentional detail exactly the way it deserved to be remembered. The result felt cinematic, elegant, alive, but never staged. Just two people celebrating their love, surrounded by beauty that truly meant something to them.
